What is Bollywood Dance?

 

Bollywood is the Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai (Bombay), India. Bollywood is also formally referred to as Hindi cinema

Bollywood dancing is a commercial name for modern Indian dancing. It's a combination of classical Indian dance (which is the base), folk dancing such as Bhangra and sometimes has a fusion of  Latino, Arabic, Jazz  influence. It's fun and very expressive and there's a lot of deep meaning behind music in the films. You  express the music through the graceful movements of the body.

 

 

 

About Rhythms Bollywood Dance 

 

Rhythms Bollywood Dance was founded in 2010 in the Corona area by Nahid Khan.

 

Dancing since the age of 3.5, Nahid has trained in the classical Indian dance forms of Bharatanatyam and Kathak in India. She is passionate about dance and finds joy and freedom in expressing herself creatively through music and movement. She is also a trained Jazz dancer.

 

Nahid has been choreographing and performing classical dance and Bollywood for over 25 years. She uses her strong base of classical dance experience to choreograph, perform and teach a variety of dance styles including Bollywood and Bhangra.

 

Nahid has worked with renowed Bollywood choreographers Farah Khan and Ahmed Khan.

 

Classes do not exceed 10 -12 students per class to ensure instructors have one to one relationship with each student, ensuring better quality learning.

 

Rhythms Bollywood Dance  serves the Inland Empire, California from the Corono/Eastvale center!
