Rules and Policies
Attendance:
1) Classes start and end on time. Students are expected to be punctual and need to be picked up promptly after class.
2) School has limited openings per class and may not hold on to spots for students that have irregular attendance. They are liable to be replaced by a student from the wait list.
Duration:
Class duration is 55 minutes once a week.
Fees:
1) Fees are to be paid within the first week of every month.Fees need to be paid in full and is charged on a monthly basis and not on per class session.
2) Fees are not prorated and are non refundable when a student misses class.
3) Missed classes are not transferable to next month.
4) All returned checks will be charged a $25.00 bank fee.
Cancellation:
1) Class cancellation due to weather or events out of our control will not be rescheduled.
2) When the instructor cancels the class for personal or non weather related reasons, and is unable to find a substitute a makeup class will be arranged.
Vacation/ Holidays:
1) The Dance school is closed on National Holidays and no makeup class is offered for these days: New Year, Presidents Day,Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas .
2) School needs to be informed when a student will be going on Vacation or taking a break.
Please hand over the Vacation/ break dates to the instructor in writing.
Dress Code:
1) No Hard soled shoes or street shoes. DO NOT DANCE IN SOCKS as its easy to slip and hurt yourself.
2) No Jeans, Jackets, skirts or loose fitting clothes. Thirsts and leggings should be worn.
3) Jazz shoes needed for all students . NO EXCEPTIONS
4) Hair needs to be secured in a ponytail or braid.
Recording Class:
Parents/ Students can record a class in the last 5 mins of their class. This recording is primarily to help students rehearse at home. These videos cannot be uploaded to any social media/ public sites eg: Facebook, YouTube, internet or shared.
Choreography:
All Dances are copyright property of Rhythms Bollywood Dance.Students will require written permission from their instructor if he or she would like to replicate in part or whole the dance routines learned in the dance class at other events. Students are not permitted to perform new dances at private or public events until it is first performed at a Rhythms Bollywood dance recital performance.
Performances:
Costume, performance and prop fees are non refundable and additional. These fees are not included with class fees. All students are expected to participate in the Annual and Fall Performance schedules.
Miscellaneous:
1) No food or drink other than water is allowed in dance area.
2)Non participants cannot observe a class as its disruptive to students.
